Denny Goodman

Avionics Manager & Lead Avionics Technician

Denny Goodman is Aircraft Specialists, Inc.’s Avionics Manager and Lead Installer. A United States Marine Corps Veteran, Denny is an exceptionally detail-oriented aviation professional, with more than 30 years of hands-on industry experience—including installations, repairs, testing, and maintenance. Before joining the ASI team in 2021, he worked at the Cessna Citation Service Center–Long Beach, as well as other Part 145 Repair Stations with charter flight operations. 

In addition to this professional experience, Denny has earned certificates from multiple programs and institutions, including Garmin, Avidyne, Rockwell Collins, Cirrus Aircraft, and L-3 Communications Avionics Systems. 

Denny prides himself in applying his expertise and providing exceptional work on every customer’s aircraft, whether it be a Cessna 150 or a Citation Sovereign. ASI is lucky to have him, because few in the industry have his level of industry experience, as well as high level of performance. He inspires us all! 

In his free time, Denny enjoys playing DiscGolf.

My aviation career began in the US Air Force, giving me diverse experiences, from detailed component work to managing entire aircraft fleets. The most significant rewards of this field are collaborating with outstanding colleagues and the fulfillment that comes from solving problems and ensuring aircraft are operational. In aviation, each day presents new challenges, allowing us to achieve and feel accomplished through our effective solutions.

A&P Mechanic

James, one of our trusted A&P Mechanics, finished A&P school in 2016 and worked in general aviation at Ormond Beach Airport while attending Embry Riddle. Most of his aviation career stems from 2018 at PSA Airlines, where he worked on CRJ 700 & 900 airliners at the CVG Airport.

Chris Smith

A&P Mechanic + Avionics Technician

Chris Smith is a decorated member of our mechanics team. He served 21 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a mechanic and aircrew member on the MH60J and MH60T and flew in missions such as Search & Rescue, Law Enforcement, and National Security. After, he started maintenance as a line avionics tech focusing on quality assurance and technical services, and retired as a Maintenance Program Manager for MH60T helicopters.

Parts Manager

Parts Managers like Dwight Aloma keep our industry running by maintaining providing service to stock of turbine and piston parts for our maintenance team. Dwight, a seasoned skydiver, became a member of the ASI family in April of 2022 and continues to provide service to both customers and charter fleets.
