Technician & Inspector
Meet Mark Austin, a Technician-Inspector with our experienced team. Mark started out early at 15 working on Grumman Ag-Cats, agricultural single-engined biplanes. He then served as a B-52 Bomber Crew Chief in the Air Force for 4 years before joining us at ASI.
Daniel, a member of our skilled team of Aircraft Mechanics, served as an Air Force F-35 Crew Chief before working in general aviation airplane mechanics here at ASI.
James, one of our trusted A&P Mechanics, finished A&P school in 2016 and worked in general aviation at Ormond Beach Airport while attending Embry Riddle. The majority of his aviation career stems back to 2018 at PSA Airlines, where he worked on CRJ 700 & 900 airliners at the CVG Airport.
A&P Mechanic + Avionics Technician
Chris Smith is a decorated member of our mechanics team. He served 21 years in the U.S. Coast guard as a mechanic and aircrew member on the MH60J and MH60T, and flew in missions such as Search & Rescue, Law Enforcement and National Security. After, he started maintenance as a line avionics tech focusing in quality assurance and technical services, and retired as a Maintenance Program Manager for MH60T helicopters.
We’re proud to have members on our team like Hector Ramirez, an Avionics Apprentice with 5 years’ avionics experience in the Marine Corps, where he specialized in CH-53E helicopters.
Parts Managers like Dwight Aloma keep our industry running by maintaining stock of turbine and piston parts for our maintenance team. Dwight, a seasoned skydiver, became a member of the ASI family in April of 2022 and continues to provide service to both customers and charter fleets.
